A +10 also rarely makes a difference compared to Supply, Unit counter or Castle defender advantage.Ĭ-Tier: Everything else. Holy warrior is the highest direct combat bonus, but applies only in half of all difficult wars (the other half are large-scale rebellions). The first three are basically the equivalent of Organizer and Logistician, but terrain bound. Winter Soldier, Desert warrior, Jungle warrior and Holy Warrior. Aggressive attacker and flexible leader both make it easier to use openings in enemy rotations and beat armies coming in 1 by 1. Best trait to have on a secondary leader, but not nessecary if you have enough siege equipment (as it does not increase daily progress). Siege engineer helps a bit with siege racing and ending wars quickly. If i had the choice, Logistician gives much larger margins of error.Ī-Tier: Siege Engineer, Aggressive attacker, Flexible leader. Organizer helps with the first one, Logistician with the second. There are only two ways to win difficult wars: Hit an outlaying unit and let the enemy come in 1-by-1 or run circles with them and then beat them with +25 starvation bonus. But in long wars even that can start to break down. In multiplayer where battles are close, or in times where you don't want to pause, throwing logistician on your deathstack is absolutely the best call to make though! You don't want that starving and even twice as long will matter. On the other hand, the dynamic duo of organizer and military engineer consistently gets me siege victories before my supplies have time to run out. Obviously that's twice as long, so it could matter, or it could not. It only takes getting below 60 supply, so if that happens in 8 months (at -5/mo) or a 16 months tends to be hard to identify if it mattered to me. Of course the risk to this is regathering if the enemy comes by, so if that's a danger than logistician can be useful.īut also, with logistician, I still find myself getting to undersupplied fast. I can have a supply line of troops in my controlled territory recharging and they can move in to resupply the siege troops. Without logistician, I can just split my troops up small enough to be below supply limit. I find logistician just saves me micromanaging and exposure to fog of war, but I appreciate the chance to talk about why because I see you and others rating it very highly!
